GOOGLE  CLASSROOM

Google Classroom will be our online learning platform. It will help me create, assign, and collect student classwork and homework paperlessly.

With Google Classroom, I can seamlessly integrate Google Docs, Google Drive, and Gmail to create assignments.  I can also provide feedback for in progress and completed work, and communicate online with students directly through class announcements. Students can work on assignments in Google Docs at home or school and turn it in with a few clicks.

When I create assignments, folders are automatically created in Google Drive for each student. I can choose to share a single document (like project instructions), or automatically make a copy for each student (like a project template). This process allows me to see who has completed the work at a glance and assign grades accordingly.  Students can easily see due dates on their assignments page, so they can stay organized and submit work on time.  Best of all, as a parent, you can check out what we're doing in class, anytime, from the comfort of your own home.

Chromebook

Below are links to videos and websites that will help walk you through some key features and uses of your Chromebook.  Please check with your teacher to see what areas of training you will need for each of your lesson activities.  If questions arise, please follow our problem-solving strategies steps.

  1. Research your question online.

  2. If step 1 wasn't successful, ask 2 other students.

  3. If step 2 wasn't successful, ask your teacher.

  4. If step 3 wasn't successful, ask your tech instructor.
