Common Sense Media is a resource that empowers both parents & educators by supplying children with lesson plans, videos, and aids in establishing skills that are needed of people as they use technology.    On their website you can also find helpful links when implementing a 1:1 program, as well as offering professional development for school personel.  

 

Technology standards to which schools can implement the best practices of using technology in the classroom setting.  

 

 

 

Edmodo is a learning platform, that is set up much like Facebook.  Students can connect with learning communities, turn in assignments, take quizzes & polls, blog with peers, and all under the supervision & management of their instructor.

 

Student email is set up through Google Apps for Education.  Students have access to Google Drive & email.

 

Dropbox is a site that lets our students store homework, files, and other documents that they need.  Dropbox gives students access to their information on any device that uses the internet.  Students can also share files and folders with no size rescrictions.

 

Twitter gives people a platform to send short messages to subscribers.

 

This site allows people and companies to post video for individuals to search out and watch.

 

This video was a promotion to a charity to raise awareness about clean water.

 

I used www.wix.com to build this website.  The site offers web templates in both flash & html5.
