The Quest
Quest is a Christian science fiction book for children ages 8-15 years old. It is about four Christian teens that take on the adventure of a lifetime. Their father, uncle and grandfather build a state of the art rocket ship from extra military and government rocket ship projects. With their expertise in engineering and space technology they come up with a rocket ship that comes straight out of the future and into infinity.
The quest that the kids take on is finding the cradle of creation on the planet of Eden in hopes of finding God. As they travel through space, they encounter many challenges that run parallel to many scripture events as well as experiencing many Christian beliefs that unite them in Christ-likeness as well as a committed crew. They have encounters that challenge their beliefs and commitment to Jesus, but alway stay true to him and even become stronger in their faith.
The story ends as they cross over into the realm of glory where they find the planet of Eden, and come into the presence of the Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit and Jesus. As they enter the celestial New Jerusalem, they are greeted by their loved ones and friends that they seen on their quest. There they see great rewards for their faithfulness to the Lord in how their witness for Jesus touched many lives bringing them to a personal relationship with Jesus.
I believe your kids will love this book. They will find themselves laughing one minute and the next minute on the edge of their seat waiting to see what happens next. I also believe that as your children read this book they will be drawn into a closer relationship with Jesus. There is even a portion in the book where a new crew member becomes a Christian, and in the book it tells how this is done. God willing this book will launch your children on a quest of their own to be with Jesus!
