JEWISH PERSECUTION IS A SIGN IN ITSELF

Isaiah 9:14 So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day.
This happened at Calvary when the Sanhedrin and the Jewish people had the Romans kill Jesus. When they cried, “Let his blood be on us and on our children,” God removed his blessing from them. From the very greatest to the very least in Israel there would be no joy or peace. As 4:5 tells us, “ God would take away their hedge.” No one can reject the Prince of Peace and expect to have peace. From the time of their rejecting Jesus as their Messiah and Savior, Israel has never had peace no matter where they would go. Verse 5:13 tells us that, “Therefore my people will go into exile for lack of understanding.” And verse 12 tells us that, “ they had no regard for the deeds of the Lord, no respect for the work of his hands.” No matter how many miracles he did he received no respect. For them Jesus became as 8:14 tells us, “a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many of them will stumble; they will fall and be broken. They will be broken, they will be snared and captured.” Now because of how the Jews have rejected Jesus and put a curse on themselves, they have rejected their only hope of happiness, joy, forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Now as 10:3 points out, “What will they do on the day of reckoning?”
If there were no other prophecy’s fulfilled regarding Jesus being the Son of God and Savior of the world other than what has happened to the entire Jewish race since they rejected Jesus had him crucified, this should be enough for them and the world. Not only has the Jews living in the Promised Land of Israel been constantly under attack and occupation, but even those Jews that have spread throughout the world still to this day are rejected, despised and even persecuted.
When you stop to think about it, why should people all over the world care about such a small race of people that have such a small amount of land. The land mass of the country of Israel makes it one of the tiniest nations in the world. It is 1/19 the size of California, and only slightly larger than the Canary Islands. It is 260 miles at its longest point and 60 miles at its widest. It is only 3-9 miles at its narrowest point. 65% the the Jewish population live within a 9 mile section by Tel Aviv. Once again if God’s judgment isn’t upon their rejection of Jesus, why does the world seem to persecute Jews not only in Israel, but all over the world?
God’s judgment is not on just the Jews. Everyone that rejects Jesus will never have God’s blessing of happiness, joy and peace. I don’t care how much wealth, power or fame they may have they will never have in their heart the blessing of God’s happiness, joy and peace. What God alone can give us through Jesus is beyond understanding. To this day many pastors on TV tell us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This will never happen until Jesus is made Lord in Jerusalem. And it will never happen in the hearts of people all over the world until each person makes Jesus Lord over their life.
Do I expect this any time soon? No, not for the Jews or for the peoples of the world. The world has for centuries thumbed its nose at God by refusing to humble itself before God and receive Jesus as its Lord and Savior. I believe that God’s judgment only remains for it. Even the world itself feels that the end of days is near, and yet they are not repenting of their sins and seeking Jesus. They have sinned against the Holy Spirit and this is why Revelation 22:11 says, “Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; let him who is holy continue to be holy.” Those that are rejecting the call of the Holy Spirit, God is going to turn his back on them and they will have sealed their own fate. But for those who put their trust in Jesus, they will not be forsaken. They will find happiness, joy and peace even in the midst of the great judgment that God will bring upon the earth.
For all who have understanding God is continually affirming that Jesus is his only begotten Son, and he alone is the Savior of the world. This is why to the very end for those who are willing they can come to Jesus and find forgiveness and life eternal. This is why Jesus finishes his book with, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the many fulfilled prophecies regarding Jesus. Our heart breaks for the way the Jews are still rejecting you, but so is most of the world. We know it hurts you even more because you went to Calvary for everyone. We believe your return to earth is soon. Holy Spirit, please move on people all over the world that simply don’t understand, and help them to believe, love and trust in Jesus. Thank you for loving us so much Lord Jesus and saving our souls. It is in your name we ask this.
