HOW YOU HAVE BLESSED ALL OF HUMANITY
Psalms 8:1-9 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place what is man that you are mindful of him. You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crown him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! It is amazing that the Lord would love and care for humanity the way that he does. He has put us at the top of his creation, and in such a way as to be just a little lower than the angels.
II Chronicles 9a says, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” God is searching us out to bless us and not curse us. The goodness of the Lord is constantly trying to find ways to bless his creation. II Samuel 14:14 says, “But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.”
What a wonderful and loving God to love us so much. Sad to say so many people look for only the bad in God, even though there is no bad in God. Satan and the powers of darkness and the evil of this world would like to make us believe that his is the case, but it is not true. The ironic thing is that it is Satan, the powers of darkness and the evil of this world are behind the evil, and they convince people otherwise. Maybe it is because people think God is complete control of everything as many pastors preach, or they don’t want to accept the idea of free will in creation and that accountability that goes along with it. Whatever excuse that humanity may come up with all the evil that goes on is not from God! God wants to be just the very opposite. God wants to bless humanity. What else must God do to show us that he loves us and cares for us? He shouldn’t have to do another thing.
How do you see God in relation to creation and certainly yourself? How do you related to him because of this? God is a good God!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, we love you and thank you for being such a good God. Thank you for creating us the way you have with so many blessings just wanting to come our way. Please help us to always see you as you really are. We love you and ask this in Jesus’ name.
