JESUS CAN HIDE YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES
Psalms 31:19,20 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from the strife of tongues.
Sometimes life can be no picnic. Everything we do seems to go wrong, and the people around us see only intent on making matters worse. This is when we need to call on the Lord. Because for those who fear him and trust in him, he will come to our rescue.
Satan, the powers of darkness, the evil of this world and even the freedom of creation will use people and everything they can to discourage us and rob us of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The fruit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. What we have going for us is Jesus. Jesus can hide us from even those around us. By this I mean that those things that are attacking us begin to no longer pay attention to us. Their attention is drawn to other things. It is not like they no longer talk to us or even see us, but rather Jesus puts a spiritual veil over their eyes.
The Lord is good, and he is good to all who love and trust in him. If you are experiencing frustration and persecution today call out to Jesus. He more than wants to help you. Remember James 4:2 tells us that we have not, because we don’t ask. Jesus will always respect our free will. The responsibility for victory in our life is our responsibility. The Lord is more than capable for any problem. If we want victory we must ask for his help. Are you quick to ask Jesus for help, or are you still trying to overcome by your own efforts?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being more than willing and able to help us with all the needs in our life. Please help us to remember to call on you. We love you Jesus and ask this in your holy name.
