WE CAN COUNT ON JESUS BEING THERE FOR US
Psalms 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
As Jesus finished his Great Commandment he told his eleven apostles that he would be with them to the very end of the age. We don’t have to worry that Jesus is unaware of us, or somehow has gotten busy and forgotten us. We are always on his mind and firmly in his heart. He is constantly interceding for us to his Heavenly Father. We are the joy and love of his heart. After all why wouldn’t we? If we had to pay such a great price as he did for us, we would cherish us as well. Calvary’s cross was a greater sacrifice and needed a greater passion than what we can imagine. Jesus just didn’t die on the cross or even was terribly beaten, he took the punishment for all the sins of humanity on himself. Even his Heavenly Father turned from him. He bore our sin, our punishment not because he had too, but because he wanted to. His love and passion for us is beyond measure and understanding. He is and always will be totally committed to us. The only way for us to break this is for us to turn from him, and no longer want him as our Lord and Savior.
Not only do we face the trials and tribulations of this world, but often daily. For some they are minor in comparison to being tortured or killed for their loyalty and love for Jesus, but Jesus has committed himself to be there with us no matter what life may bring at us. When he says that he will be with us until the end of the age, he means it. He is with us every step of the way in our life’s journey. We can count on Jesus being there for us and with us.
