ONLY JESUS CAN BRING YOU FORGIVENESS & RECONCILIATION
Psalms 49:7-9 No man can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for him, the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough - that he should live on forever and not see decay.
Down through time many people have given their life for the life of others. It is amazing how people knowingly and wantingly do this. But while they can extend the life of someone by giving up their life, they can not give eternal life. There has been only one person that has ever been able to do this, and it was God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ. It took a sinless God in Jesus to be able to atone for the sins of the entire human race of people. Think of it like this. It takes a perfectly empty glass to contain a glass that is perfectly full.
Every person that has ever lived with the exception of Jesus has sinned and come short of the perfection of God’s holiness. Everyone except Jesus needs a Savior. There is absolutely no one that needs to go to hell. No matter how bad the sins of a person may be, the blood of Jesus has paid the price for them. No matter how many sins there may have been in a person's life, the blood of Jesus can take care of them all. No matter how many people come to Jesus for salvation, there is always room for more.
We can never undo our sins, nor make up for them by doing good works. When we do good things we are only doing what we should have done all along in our life. Salvation is a free gift from God through Jesus Christ. It is our having faith in the grace of Jesus’ atonement that makes us acceptable for heaven. And it is God’s wonderful mercy that enables us to not be punished in hell for eternity the way we deserve. All we have to do is ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and to come into our heart and he will.
